AUTOMATIC TARGET TRACKING AND HOMING MODULE FOR AIRBORNE STRIKE SYSTEMS

In modern warfare, where multi-role drones are widely used, electronic warfare (EW) systems of short and medium range are increasingly deployed on the battlefield to protect personnel, equipment, and strategic assets. This significantly complicates precise target engagement by drones.

To address this challenge, the Global Mark design bureau has developed a target acquisition module, which allows an FPV drone to lock onto a target outside the EW interference zone and enables automatic homing towards the target.

Purpose:

  • Autonomous control of an airborne strike system (FPV drone, autonomous or loitering munition) after initial target acquisition by the operator, transferring the target lock function from the operator to the module.
  • Target tracking and course stabilization on moving and stationary objects at distances up to 1000 meters.
  • Automatic target tracking from the moment of module activation until target impact or mission cancellation by the operator.
  • Autopilot mode – the drone can navigate through EW-affected zones in automatic mode.
  • Compatibility with daytime and night (thermal) vision cameras.
